'Legends Of Tomorrow' Season 2 Premiere News: Newest Promo Video Features Stargirl

The CW's popular superhero shows "Arrow," "The Flash," "Legends of Tomorrow" and "Supergirl" are coming this October as the network continues to expand its DC universe in the small screen.

The first season of "Legends of Tomorrow" may not have been a sweeping success, but its finale saw a big reveal: Patrick J. Adams' Hourman and the Justice Society of America are coming in to join the next season of the series.

The new 30-second promo video for the upcoming season released by the official Twitter account of "Legends of Tomorrow" reveals a star-spangled superheroine who will join the series aside from those revealed in the season 1 finale.

The video opens with the Legends' new mission, which is to protect the timeline now that the Time Masters have been taken down. It also gives a peek at some of the historical adventures happening in season 2, including Sara Lance's seduction of the Queen of France, the kidnapping of Alert Einstein, and Dr. Stein and Jax's attempt to impress a boy emperor. The rest of the video features thrilling fight scenes, including one where Mick is fighting soldiers with Sarah Grey's Stargirl.

Also known as Courtney Whitmore, Stargirl is a young girl who uses cosmic staff and belt to transform into a superhero. Her character has long been linked with the JSA and her costume seems to be lifted directly from the original comics, given the large white star on her chest and three stars down each of her arms.

"Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 premieres on October 13 on The CW.
