Legendary Rock Band Third Day Announces 2018 'Farewell Tour'
Third Day is hitting the road for one last time this summer, headlining their aptly named "Farewell Tour." The tour marks the conclusion of a remarkable 25-year touring career for the four-time Grammy Award-winning rock band. The "Farewell Tour" kicks off May 31 in Seattle, Wash., and will visit 12 major U.S. markets before concluding on June 27 in Denver, Colo., at the Red Rocks Amphitheater.
Starting March 7, special pre-sale VIP fan experience packages will be available. General tickets will be available on March 9. For the most up-to-date ticketing information, please visit the band's official website.
Third Day has touched countless lives throughout the years with their music and performances, with 31 No. 1 radio singles under their belt. Not surprisingly, longtime fans are sad to see the band park the touring bus for good, but at the same time expressing gratitude for being given the chance to see the band perform live one last time.
Lead vocalist Mac Powell says about the decision, "We know this is a season that is coming to a close, and we wanted to give our fans one more chance to see us perform live. The live show has been the core fan experience, and this tour will give us an opportunity to go out and say thank you to the fans who have always been so supportive of our music."
Founding member and lead guitarist Mark Lee adds, "These last twenty-five years of Third Day have been an amazing ride that we never in our wildest dreams thought we would experience."
The band has also put together a short video about the farewell tour, which you can watch below. For more information about Third Day, visit the band's official website, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
