'Legend of Zelda' Wii U News, Rumors: Upcoming Title Will Not Feature at E3 2015
Eiji Aonuma, Legend of Zelda producer, has announced that the still untitled Legend of Zelda game won't be making any appearances at this year's E3 convention in Los Angeles in June despite fan's expectation.
The expected newest addition to the franchise was promised to be unveiled this year. Aonuma shared that this new Zelda game world would have a vast environment which would allow players to explore more than previous Zelda games where players felt confined.
However, Eiji Aonuma made a recent announcement on the Legend of Zelda Facebook page regarding the delay and the current status of the production. He mentions that with the new "freedom of exploration that hasn't existed in any Zelda games to date, we have discovered several possibilities for this game."
"As we have worked to turn these possibilities into reality, new ideas have continued to spring forth, and it now feels like we have the potential to create something that exceeds even my own expectations," Aonuma says.
The producer has apologized and that they are "no longer making a 2015 release [a] number one priority."
With this announcement, Nintendo of America has removed the Legend of Zelda game preview for the E3 convention in Los Angeles in June 2015.
Snippets of the Legend of Zelda game was shown in December last year when Eiji Aonuma and Shigeru Miyamoto promised to release it this year.
Other games will be expected to be released under the Wii U platform this year like Splatoon, Starfox, Yoshi's Wooly World and Xenoblade Chronicles X. The latter is going to be released in Japan in April. Moreover, there is no additional information revealed by Nintendo on Xenoblade's global release. But it is likely to be in the market within this year. Wii U game fans on various forums have been crossing their fingers with the upcoming releases.
