'Legend of Zelda' Wii U Gameplay, Release Date Rumors: Leaked Video Promotes Game, Features Link’s Backstory?
In addition to an origin story of the hit video game series "The Legend of Zelda," a leaked video reportedly campaigned the forthcoming Wii U game.
A source reported sent a video to Gamer Professionals on Dec. 28. As per the publication, it had seen the content of the said video; however, its genuineness is yet to be verified. Entitled "First Draft," the video reportedly had watermarks from J. Richards, LLC, Creative Minds and Souls, and Nintendo.
The contents of the said video could be Link's origin story, according to Design & Trend.
The said video, which is speculated as a separate game as a whole, contained themes involving parent-child relationship. It reportedly featured a little girl who wanted to become the main hero Link when she grows up. The clip also saw Link wearing an outfit, consisting of a blue shirt, white pants, and brown boots, in addition to a Sheikah cloak and Gerudo bracers
The Gerudo bracers are usually associated with the "The Legend of Zelda's" iconic villain Ganondorf. According to speculations, Link could have worn the same bracers during a period of time in which his race and his archenemy's race were still in good terms. The Sheikah cloak also signifies that the antiquated race had something to do with the races' relationship as well, as per rumors.
The final sequences of the video showed the phrase "A New Generation Begins" and reportedly ended with the words "Only on Wii U." Whether the video stands as a promotional material for "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U is still cloudy for the time being.
"The Legend of Zelda" Wii U is set to be released in March.
