"Everyone in the room was thrilled with the movie, which was very exciting." according to a post on The Official - Left Behind Movies Facebook page.
The verdict of both authors was made public this week. According to Jenkins Facebook page: "two enthusiastic thumbs up". Asked if it was good, he answered, "It's better than good"!

It has been eight years since the last installment of the original LEFT BEHIND series was released. Now back with a bigger budget and an A-list celebrity cast, the movie created after the book series will bring the message to the masses.
The original LEFT BEHIND movie was released in 2000, as an independent Christian film. It opened seventeenth in the nation and was the #1 selling video in America in its first week of release, beating out Toy Story 2 and The Green Mile.
In 1999 before the film's release LaHaye filed suit against Namesake Entertainment and Cloud Ten Pictures, claiming breach of contract because the author did not believe the adaptation did right by the books. Later in 2008, LaHaye and Cloud Ten settled legal disputes on the film versions of the book series part of the agreement granted LaHaye an opportunity to remake the series.
"My dream has always been to enter the movie theater with a first-class, high-quality movie that is grippingly interesting, but also is true to the biblical storyline -- and that was diluted in the first attempt," emphasized Dr. LaHaye to christiancinema.com.
Cloud Ten Pictures who created the original Trilogy of films was brought back on board for the new installment and is hoping to bring the film to a more mainstream audience. The upcoming film's budget was reportedly around 15 million dollars.
This apocalyptic thriller is directed by Vic Armstrong and written by Paul LaLonde and John Patus. The star studded cast includes Nicolas Cage, playing the lead role of Rayford Steele, Chad Michael Murray playing the role of Buck Williams (Kirk Cameron in the original remake), television actress Lea Thompson, and actress/singer Jordan Sparks among many others.
The movie's website described that it will specifically concentrate on the first few hours and the chaos of the world in the wake of millions of people vanishing with no explanation.
It is schedule to hit theaters June 20, 2014.
