‘Law & Order SVU’ Premiere Live Stream Free, NBC Start Time, Spoilers: Lots of Drama for Olivia Benson [VIDEO]
Two new video sneak peeks suggest that Season 16 of 'Law and Order: SVU', the popular crime series set in New York City, will bring about intense drama for Olivia Benson.
Episode 1 of 'Law and Order: SVU' Season 16 has been titled "Girls Disappeared" and it will air on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 9 pm on NBC.
One sneak peek depicts Olivia taking care of little baby Noah, and it is certainly an emotional scene. In the 'Law & Order SVU' Season 15 finale, viewers saw Noah's birth mother being killed by a dangerous cartel member, and Olivia became the child's foster mother.
In the sneak peek, Olivia tells the child that his mother loved him "very, very much" and that her name was Ellie.
The other Episode 1 sneak peek shows Liv, Rollins, and Fin trying to figure out the details pertaining to a murder case they're working on. It also shows Fin meeting the new detective, Dominick "Sonny" Carisi Jr., portrayed by Peter Scanavino.
Entertainment Weekly also released new spoilers hinting that raising Noah will not be all peaches and cream, because Olivia also needs to watch her back when it comes to the cartel that killed Ellie.
The spoilers read, "Well, it won't be easy raising baby Noah since the cartel that murdered Noah's birth mother sets their sights on killing anyone and everyone connected to the case, including Benson and her new bundle of joy. Liv will actually find help from detective-turned-beat cop Amaro, who puts himself in danger by going undercover in the hopes of making his way back to SVU."
In addition to this, Liv also has to endure her new ruff-around-the-edges partner too.
As far as Amaro is concerned, spoilers released by TV Guide reveal that Amaro "will still play a big role in the first case of the season, despite - or perhaps because of - his new role as a beat cop. But back at the SVU squad room, Olivia will have a tough time dealing with the rough-around-the-edges Det. Sonny Carisi."
Additionally, "If his questionable prior SVU experience doesn't raise red flags, Carisi's personal investigative style certainly will. Let's just say the rest of the squad does not approve."
