‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ Season 16 Recap, Spoilers: ‘Chicago Crossover’ Episode Synopsis
In the seventh episode of 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' Season 16, a firefighter rescued a male victim, who dropped a suitcase and revealed pictures of child pornography.
In the episode entitled "Chicago Crossover," Detective Amanda Rollins received a call and was tasked to handle the child trafficking case. The detective discovered that one of the victims in the pictures is Teddy, her co-worker Erin's half brother.
The group searched in a youth center for Teddy and met Jocelyn who revealed that Teddy is working at a pier as a male prostitute. Teddy was rescued and Sergeant Olivia Benson explained to the victim that the group who kidnapped him took another male named Henry.
Amanda added that they communicated with Benson's friend Jocelyn in the youth center. The topic made Teddy uncomfortable and he ended the conversation.
Meanwhile, the detectives informed Jocelyn that Teddy has been recovered, however, the girl became scared and ran away. The team went to the FBI to investigate the case further and they discovered that Jocelyn was a victim by the child trafficking group and raped by Teddy.
Teddy and Jocelyn argued about the rape incident, which led him to confess that he was forced to do it. The victims helped the detectives and Chicago police department to identify the group behind child pornography and rescued Henry. The group leader was George, head of the Department of Family Services.
At the end of the episode, George and his crew were convicted and the victims were recognized as heroes.
"Write your success in a stone and your failures in the sand" proved true for the seventh episode. Although the victims had a dark past, they were able to emerge as heroes.
Meanwhile, Episode 8 "Spousal Privilege" tackled about domestic violence involving a sportscaster and his partner. The victim is hesitant to file charges due to family concerns.
'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' airs on Wednesdays at 9 pm on NBC.
