"Law and Order: SVU" season 17 last aired on March 30 and will be back on May 4. While waiting for its return, fans remain on the lookout for updates about the series.

Based on an article by Enstarz, "Everybody Loves Raymond" alumnus Brad Garrett will guest star in season 17 of "Law and Order: SVU." He will play the role of Gary Munson, "a corrections officer at Rikers who maintains his reputation as a hardworking family man, but hides a long history of corruption and violence against female inmates, both inside and out of prison."

Another guest star to appear on the show is Detective Munch, who will appear in an episode titled "Fashionable Crimes." His character left after season 15 and will return in season 17 to help deal with a case of a young model who indicts a popular photographer of abuse.  The episode where he will appear will air in May.

"Law of Order: SVU" executive producer Warren Leight also revealed in a recent interview that the 17^th season will see the return of Belzer.

"We love having Richard back on set. This episode was perfect for Munch's cynical eye, and just the right time for him to give Benson and Noah, some much needed support," she said.

Season 17 will also address why Detective Elliot Stabler and Olivia Benson never got romantically involved when fans have been hankering for it.

According to actor Christopher Meloni, "she was always ready for anything new. There was always an unspoken shorthand to what we were doing. That makes it just so much easier, and off camera as well."

He said getting along when the cameras are and aren't rolling was priceless for him and his co-star.

The next new episode of "Law and Order: SVU" season 17 will come in May 4.
