'Law and Order: SVU' Season 16 Episode 21 Recap: Bayard Ellis Takes on Tough Case

On this week's episode of Law and Order: SVU, Bayard Ellis takes the case of a man who has been jailed for incest and rape.

His daughter, Michelle was the victim and a key witness when she was a child but now she wants to take back her testimony and set her father free.

Meanwhile, Olivia's son Noah is being baptized and she and the team are going to the church.

Michelle walks behind them and is stopped by the pastor, when she says that her father is in prison and it is all her fault.

The pastor giver he the contact details for Bayard Ellis and they go to visit her father together.

Ellis goes to lunch with Olivia and tells her about the case. No one believed Michelle when she tried to come clean as a teenager, and this led to her succumbing to alcoholism as an adult.

Ellis asks Olivia to reopen the case so that they can prove Derrick's innocence.

Michelle goes to the station and reveals to Rollins and Amanda that the night before her father was arrested, her mother told her to say that her father raped her and called the police the next morning.

Carrisi and Nick go to find Audrey who tells them that Michelle is always saying strange things and changing her mind.

The next day, McCormack says that there is no need to reopen the case, as Derrick, Michelle's father, did rape his daughter.

It is then revealed that McCormack and Audrey are having an affair and Derrick was sent to prison so that the two could be together.
