Just when everybody thought they would be hearing church bells as the famous Hollywood couple Laura Vandervoort and Oliver Trevena have been engaged since December 2013, the two reportedly split up and called off their engagement.

No, these are not rumors since a representative of the hit TV series actress who plays the lead female role and a werewolf in 'Bitten' confirmed that the two have already separated. "They broke up before the holidays," the rep for Vandervoort revealed to US Weekly.

It is definitely shocking for many and sad news for those rooting to see the famous werewolf Elena Michaels wear a wedding gown and walk down the aisle.

Also, it has been speculated that the two may have had a very long engagement as the two weren't really ready to get married despite the very romantic proposal that was reported. In Trevena's proposal, reports say that it was in a castle at night where he got down on one knee, asking Vandervoort for her hand in marriage.

"Oliver told Laura to close her eyes at 11:11 and when she opened her eyes he was down on one knee. She was totally surprised and he gave her a vintage diamond ring. She's over the moon and so happy," a source from US Weekly said. The source added how the setting was so romantic. "[They were] visiting a castle in England and it was a really romantic setting," the source said.

The proposal happened at the height of their relationship but the sad part is that they never took the plunge in actually getting married as many have hoped. Meanwhile, no official word yet came from either of the former engaged couple.
