LA Lakers NBA News, Rumors: Injury-Plagued Lakers Still Looking to Pick Up New Players?
Los Angeles Lakers is still looking for players to include in their roster for the next NBA season. On that note, reports say that several free agents, including veterans Michael Beasley, Ronnie Price and Wayne Ellington, have visited Los Angeles Lakers' practice facility in El Segundo, Ca. over the past few weeks.
It is also rumored that Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe may be wearing purple and gold for the upcoming season.
In addition to the names mentioned, Rajon Rondo and Ricky Rubio are rumored to be heading to Los Angeles Lakers next season, since the contracts of Steve Nash and Jeremy Lin are expiring.
The Los Angeles Lakers is reportedly looking for players to include in its roster for the next season, since some of the team's key players are sustaining an injury.
Months after tearing his Achilles tendon, Kobe Bryant is sustaining a lateral tibial plateau fracture in his left knee. With his persisting injuries, it is unclear whether the 36-year-old veteran will be able to play the full season.
Similarly, it is unclear whether Nash can play for all of the upcoming season's games, since last season, the 18-year veteran suffered from persistent nerve damage in his back and hamstrings that kept him out of all but 15 games.
Also joining Bryant and Nash in the injured list is Xavier Henry, who reportedly has not completely healed yet from a surgery in his wrist and knee.
Byron Scott, the team's coach, said that although there are positive assessments on the injuries of Bryant and Nash, he would still handle the two players with care by sitting them out of select practices and possibly back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, aside from the spots of the injured players, the Los Angeles Lakers is also reportedly trying to fill in the hole that Pau Gasol left in the team after he signed with Chicago.
