The relationship status between rapper Tyga and fashion mogul Kylie Jenner has stirred quite the controversy lately, mainly because of the two pop icons' difference in age.

Tyga, 25, and Jenner, 17, have been spotted together quite frequently and aren't shy about publicizing their relationship on social media, whether platonic or not.

In a recent interview with Power 105's Breakfast Club, Tyga took the time out to finally clear the air:

"I'm not dating Kylie. I just want to get that out [of] the way. I want to be clear to everybody that I didn't leave my family to be with Kylie. That's ridiculous. Me and Chyna, we broke up almost close to a year now, because of the decision we made, and things in our relationship that weren't going right, [we] decided to split to raise an emotionally stable kid."

Tyga expresses that he feels that Kylie is a "beautiful young woman" whose "maturity and mentality is different than a lot of people."

He also went on the record to say that he's been friends with the Kardashians for years, as he lives next door to them.

This isn't however the first time the two were accused of dating. In October Kylie's mother, Kris Jenner, spoke out in interview denying the rumors.

"Kylie isn't dating anybody. This whole little group of kids who have been around forever, and I call them kids because, relatively speaking, they kind of all travel as a pack and they enjoy each other's company," Jenner said. "We all live in the same neighborhood. [Tyga] used to live across the street for a long time, and now he lives next door to Khloe."
