'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star, Kylie Jenner, ignited some controversy this Saturday over some recent photos shared on her Instagram.

The photos, now deleted, were from a recent shoot Jenner did, in which she wore very dark glittering makeup with the caption:

"What I wish I looked like all the time."

Onlookers accused the young fashion icon of posing in blackface and making a crude statement on race and culture.

Jenner later defends herself by sharing another photo from the shoot with the caption:

"This is a black light and neon lights people lets all calm down."

She also took to Twitter to further clarify her intentions:

"so just got the time to head on social media lol.. The photographer used a black light & neon lights for those photos."

"Yes, In another world I wish I could have pink hair & blue eyes & covered in sparkles."

"But in this world I'm happy w the way God created me. Happy Easter everybody."
