'Kung Fu Panda 3' Trailer News: Jack Black & Bryan Cranston Meet in New Trailer

The first trailer for Dreamworks' Kung Fu Panda 3 has been released. Po, who is voiced by Jack Black, is seen in the trailer in the middle of his kung fu training, when he meets an older panda, who is voiced by Bryan Cranston.

The older panda lost his son many years ago, and not coincidentally, Po was separated from his family when he was young.

Although all of Po's friends make the obvious connection between the two instantly, it becomes even more clear as both of the bears struggle to see the big picture.

Besides Jack Black, several other voice actors from the previous films are back to reprise their roles. These include Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu and Seth Rogen.

New comers, J.K. Simmons and Rebel Wilson add even more star power to the film. Hans Zimmer will be behind the score of the film, with Jennifer Yuh, who directed Kung Fu Panda 2, directing the third installment in the franchise as well.

She will be joined in Kung Fu Panda 3 by Alessandro Carloni. In the film, Simmons will be portraying the main antagonist of the story, Kai.

He has won an Oscar for his role as the scary jazz instructor, Fletcher, in the movie Whiplash.

He has also played nefarious characters Vern Schillinger in Oz, and J. Jonah Jameson in Spiderman.

Kai will be the first supernatural villain in the franchise, and will pose a threat to Po and his new Panda friend, including a love interest, Mei Mei, voiced by Rebel Wilson.

Kung Fu Panda 3 is expected to be in theaters by January 2016.
