Fans of the 'Kung Fu Panda' film franchise are in luck, not only because there's a new movie slated for release, but the official synopsis for the upcoming flick has been revealed. The new spoilers stem from the recent CinemaCon 2015 event in Las Vegas that brought forward many upcoming films, besides the aforementioned animated blockbuster.

Stepping back to the 'Kung Fu Panda' movie that started it all, the original released on June 6, in 2008, to earn $631.7 million at the box office. For those that may not know, the film is an animated film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Paramount Pictures.

On a side note the original budget for the first movie in the series was $130 million, and since there's a third feature film coming out, the movies have definitely been a success.

Moving into the upcoming movie, currently entitled 'Kung Fu Panda 3', the following actors and actresses have already been confirmed for roles. On a side note, one does not need to look closely to see the many returning and big named cast members in the lineup.

As it stands, Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, James Hong, Randall Duk Kim, Bryan Cranston, and Rebel Wilson have all been tapped for parts in the upcoming 3rd film.

Last but certainly not least, fans want to know what they can expect to see in KFP 3 when it hits the big screen. In that regard 20th Century Fox went ahead and released this synopsis:

In 2016, one of the most successful animated franchises in the world returns with its biggest comedy adventure yet, KUNG FU PANDA 3. When Po's long-lost panda father suddenly reappears, the reunited duo travels to a secret panda paradise to meet scores of hilarious new panda characters. But when the supernatural villain Kai begins to sweep across China defeating all the kung fu masters, Po must do the impossible"”learn to train a village full of his fun-loving, clumsy brethren to become the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas!

Ultimately, the only thing left that fans of the series will want to know is when they'll be able to head to the theaters to catch a screening. Right now, the current date slated for 'Kung Fu Panda 3' rests on January 29, 2016 in the USA.

Also, for those that may not know, the upcoming film will be made in 3D, so fans should be looking forward to that.
