Kristen Stewart News: 'Twilight' Actress Thankful For Film Franchise's Success and Impact

Before Kristen became the fashion icon and female role model we know and love today, she was the leading actress in the Twilight franchise. Although it has been years since Stewart was made a star through the movies, the actress declared that she still feels like Twilight is a part of her.

On Late Night with Seth Meyers this past Thursday, Stewart talked about how the franchise made her feel. "Twilight blew up and I still look at it as something that made me who I am," she explained. However, Stewart didn't start her career in Twilight.

Kristin's impressive acting reputation was made when she performed as the young daughter of Jodie Foster in the 2002 film, the Panic Room. The actress proclaimed that it was due to her mom's continuous support and persistence that Stewart was chosen for the role. "My mom carted me around for like a year going to auditions," the actress remembered. But she admitted that "it paid off".

"I'm like, reaping the benefits of a decision I made when I was 8," Stewart added.

Stewart believes that Twilight affected her in a very different way. She embraced her character, describing her dedication as, "You're completely invested for every moment until the last." The star said that even after each scene was shot, she needed to remind herself who she really was.

Now, the actress has moved onto features like Clouds of Sils Maria and Anesthesia, films that were only just filmed last year. What's next for Kristin? "I don't know what I'm doing," the actress admits. "I very impulsively go from one thing to the next."
