Kristen Lindsey Latest News: Ex-Vet to Give Interview, Address Cat Arrow Killing

The courts of Texas are currently in contention to charge Washington County veterinarian Dr. Kristen Lindsey for her disturbing animal cruelty post on Facebook.

Earlier this month, Lindsey posted a picture of herself holding a dead cat with an arrow through its head. The caption read:

"My first bow kill, lol. The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through it's head! Vet of the year award ... Gladly accepted."

The post didn't only shock onlookers, but disgusted most with her profession being accredited as a veterinarian.

Austin County District Attorney Travis Koehn has recently released this statement:

"My office will carefully review this matter, as we do with all investigations forwarded by law enforcement. I appreciate that there has been intense worldwide interest in this case. As the case is presently under review, we have no other comment about the investigation at this time."

Lindsey has since been fired for the picture that has quickly spread throughout social media. She worked for the Washington Animal Clinic in Brenham for two years prior.

The American Veterinary Medical Association also released a statement on Lindsey's actions:

"We, too, were shocked and appalled by this image when we saw it. Every veterinarian takes an oath that states in part that they will 'use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health and welfare, the prevention and relief of animal suffering'."

While Lindsey stated the animal was a feral cat, it was discovered that it was actually a missing cat named Tiger.
