Kobe Bryant News: NBA Superstar Talks Retirement and the Lakers’ Chances via In-Depth Interview

During a business trip to China, Kobe Bryant spoke to Yahoo Sports about a plethora of things including whether he will play after this coming season, the Lakers' chances in the Western Conference, his off-court projects, among a slew of other topics.

"We haven't set anything in stone and I've talked about it before," Bryant told Yahoo Sports. "But could this be the last season? Absolutely. Players I have spoken to say, "Kobe you will know.'

The five-time champion clarified that his body is feeling good after playing a total of just 41 games the last two seasons due to a myriad of injuries. "I feel good. The lower body is solid. There are no question marks on what I can do. That's the big difference."

With his perceived good health, and the acquisitions of center Roy Hibbert, Sixth Man of the Year Lou Williams, second-overall pick D'Angelo Russell, and the return of Julius Randle, Bryant also said that he believes the Lakers' mix of veteran leadership and young talent can make the playoffs this coming season.

"The challenge is going to be blending the two and cutting down the learning curve," the soon-to-be 37-year-old said.

Yahoo Sports also asked Bryant about his off court ventures, particularly Kobe Inc.'s partnership with the Alibaba Group, a Chinese company that will be releasing his documentary "Kobe Bryant's Muse."

"I want to create compelling stories that inspires people. It's pretty straightforward. The first action is inspiration and then from the inspiration, you create services and products that enable people to reach what they are passionate about. That's what we are about at Kobe Inc.," he said about his company that is set to create a series of Kobe-branded products that will be accessed by more than 350 million people across China, according to Yahoo Sports.
