Kirk Cameron Releases Trailer for New Baseball Themed Film, 'Mercy Rule' (VIDEO)
Kirk Cameron just released a trailer for his new film Mercy Rule and announced that is instantly available for streaming and scheduled to debut on Valentines Day.
The actor revealed on Facebook a few weeks ago that his brand new film is about a family, faith, and baseball. It stars Cameron's wife Chelsea and Comedian, Tim Hawkins as his brother.
Cameron took a whole new approach to movie distribution by asking the fans what form they would like to see the movie in and he revealed on social media that over a million people voted for DVD and download.
The trailer is featured on the movie's site and is available for digital purchase and streaming immediately.
Coming out of the trailer, the Growing Pains actor said, "Fireproof restored marriages, and I know Mercy Rule will strengthen families."
Mercy Rule will be Cameron's first non-documentary movie since the hit, Fireproof in 2008. This will be comedian Hawkins' first feature movie. Hawkins, who is widely known for his comedy specials, has garnered over 100 million views on YouTube and has performed at over 120 sold-out shows.
Cameron's wife of 23 years, Chelsea will be featured in the film as his wife. The couple have a history of being on the big screen together dating back from when they met on the set of Growing Pains, and worked together on the Left Behind franchise.
