This week's episode of 'Kingdom' revealed the dramatic side of the main characters, especially Alvey. Viewers can clearly tell that things are still not going the way Alvey wants them to as he struggles to keep his gym and family intact.

While Jay pursues Nate's attackers, the tension between Alvey, Ryan, Christina, and Lisa rises as their characters face relationship conflicts.

The more recent episode of 'Kingdom' started with Jay (Jonathan Tucker) tracking down the two men who attacked Nate (Nick Jonas). Jay was able to obtain one of the assailants' address through the plate number of the car they were driving.

While Jay was preparing his retaliation, Ryan (Matt Lauria) was still regretting his fight with Alvey (Frank Grillo) from the previous episode. Alvey was supposedly all right with it since he knew Ryan was drunk. Besides, they needed to get ready for Ryan's first press event regarding his comeback and they didn't want Garo to see the mess they've made.

However, the tension didn't subside in the press event after Alvey described Ryan as a "fighter full of rage," an image Ryan didn't want to depict.

Meanwhile, Christina (Joanna Going) shared a bit of Alvey's history with their son Jay. According to her, Alvey lost a fight while Jay was still in Christina's womb. He got addicted to drugs which led to marital troubles.

To cut the story short, the fight between the couple ended with Alvey placing a shotgun in his mouth, threatening to end his life. Fortunately, the cops arrived on time and Alvey was placed in a psychiatric ward.

Going back to the present, Alvey invited Christina for dinner where the two reminisced their past affection for each other. Moments later, the two went to a dark alleyway to share an intimate moment.

In the meantime, Lisa (Kiele Sanchez) paid Ryan a visit, still wearing her engagement ring. She admitted that despite her decision of selling the ring, she couldn't bring herself to let it go. Ryan also confessed that his brawl with Alvey had everything to do with her.

However, the feelings weren't mutual and the only reason Lisa went with him to visit his parents was simply out of pity. Lisa walked away from Ryan who was obviously still in love with her despite her rejection.

On the other hand, Jay, with a gun on his hand, went to bring his revenge into action. His plans didn't go well though, after he saw the gangster putting his small child to bed. He returned home where he found his mother smoking pot and Nate doing his business with Casey in the bedroom.

Across town, Alvey reassured Lisa that there's nothing to worry about Christina. Lisa didn't believe him and insisted on seeing a lawyer. When she mentioned about the gym's deed, Alvey laughed at her and provoked her by saying, "you still have feelings for Ryan." Immediately, the two got into a brawl.

Before the end of the episode, Alvey and Lisa realized that there was no point to their fighting. Lisa stormed off, leaving Alvey in the verge of breaking down.

'Kingdom' premiered in October this year, and the TV series airs every Wednesday at 9 pm on Audience Network.
