'Kingdom Hearts 3' Release Date, Rumors, News: Game Not Coming Until Next Year, But ‘Unchained X‘ Now Available In U.S.
Those waiting for the release date of "Kingdom Hearts 3" would be disappointed for quite a long time yet as the news and rumors suggested that the game would not drop until next year.
Meanwhile, US gamers can try the mobile game, "Kingdom Hearts Unchained X," instead.
"Unchained X" was actually released as a browser game in Japan three years ago, according to the news article from Attack of the Fanboy, but it was only recently that it was brought to the US shores in both the Android and iOS.
Although it can be enjoyed as a standalone game, the website claimed that it plays a significant role in "Kingdom Hearts 3."
"This is the story of the "beginning" of the KINGDOM HEARTS series; in other words, it falls into the earliest part of the narrative," said Tetsuya Nomura in a blog post. "It takes place in the world of fairy tales talked about throughout the series, during an era before the Keyblade War."
The release date for the "Kingdom Hearts 3" may not happen until the D23 event at the Anaheim Convention Center on July 14-16, 2017, according to the latest rumors.
If the rumors are true, the time of waiting for fans for "Kingdom Hearts 3" might be short, relatively speaking, considering that the second installment was released by Square Enix to Playstation 2 a decade ago.
Those who want to download "Unchained X" while waiting for "Kingdom Hearts 3" can go to the app store for both Android and iOS devices. Meanwhile, rumors about the third installment will be reported here when they come along.
