Disney Interactive has recently announced the line-up of new titles for its upcoming annual event - the D23 Expo 2015, scheduled for Aug. 14 - 16. In a statement issued to the media via Business Wire, the digital entertainment major presented its plans for the ensuing event.

Christian Today reports that it is expected that Disney will make use of the event to unveil additional details regarding its upcoming game titles, most prominent of which is 'Kingdom Hearts 3.' While the much anticipated game is scheduled to make an appearance at the event, participants and dedicated fans will be treated to surprise details as well as additional information regarding the new role-playing fantasy platformer from publisher Square Enix. While Disney is yet to announce any specifics about the upcoming title, fans are expecting to watch a new gameplay trailer for this title, in addition to details regarding the features of the new game.

The third installment of the 'Kingdom Hearts' main story series will take the gamers to Sora's adventures as he joins other Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy. In addition, the upcoming title will also include characters from other Square Enix video games like the 'Final Fantasy' series and 'The World Ends With You.'

In the meantime, apart from this much-hyped fantasy title from Square Enix, a number of other outstanding upcoming games will be seen making an appearance at the D23 Expo 2105. According to reports, video game publisher Electronic Arts will also present a playable demo version of 'Star Wars: Battlefront.'

Aside from these, Disney Interactive is also scheduled to unveil details regarding its new take on hybrid toy and video game title 'Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition.' In the "Only in the Toy Box Experience" booth, fans and participants will get an opportunity to interact with the upcoming title's characters via augmented reality technology. Fans and games who are into collecting figures will also get an opportunity to take home assorted "Infinity" figurines, as Disney will be giving away pre-release "Infinity 3.0" figurines.

This year's D23 Expo will be held in Anaheim, California, in August.
