'Kindergarten Cop 2' Release Date, Cast: No Traces of Arnold Schwarzenegger In Trailer? Lundgren Plays Lead Role
More than two decades ago "Kindergarten Cop" hit the cinemas. Now, a sequel is about to be released directly on DVD, Digital HD and On Demand on May 17, 2016.
In the meantime, the trailer for the "Kindergarten Cop 2" can now be viewed on the Internet.
Aside from the full-length film, the discs are also included of deleted scenes, bloopers and behind-the-scene shots dubbed as "Kindergarten Cop 2: Undercover," according to Coming Soon.
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will produce the second part of the comedy flick, starring Dolph Lundgren.
Lundgren now holds the lead role which was first played by the actor-turned-politician Arnold Schwarzenegger. The film also features actors Bill Bellamy, Sarah Strange and Aleks Paunovic among other young stars.
According to the website, the sequel is about Lundgren being an undercover agent who will be designated to be a kindergarten teacher. However, his covert work will about to be challenged by the school's "liberal and the politically correct environment."
"Kindergarten Cop 2" is directed by "Jarhead 2: Field of Fire" and "Tremors 5: Bloodlines" director Don Michael Paul. On the other hand, the screenplay for the awaited motion picture is collaborated by writers David H. Steinberg, Murray Salem, Herschel Weingrod, and Timothy Harris.
As for the trailer, USA Today notes that they felt sort of disappointed because there was no trace of Schwarzenegger, and how they "wish to go back to the drawing board" before releasing the trailer.
