Just a few days ago, Kim Kardashian, star of Keeping up with the Kardashians revealed that she is pregnant with her second child.

Shortly after this revelation, a source exclusively confirmed to E! News that the expecting mother is due in December.

The due date for Kardashian West baby number 2 lands in the same month as Kourtney Kardashian, Kim's sister, who gave birth to two of her children, Reign Disick and Mason Disick around Christmas.

The delivery could possibly happen around the holidays. Kim shared the news on Monday night at the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards, and was very happy at the fact that she and husband, Kanye West were able to conceive.

"It really has been a really long journey for us and we didn't think it was possible," Kim said to E! News. "We are so, so grateful and so thankful. We're like over the moon. We've known so early on. It was really hard because you just want to make sure everything goes right and everything is okay because it has been so hard."

This second pregnancy is quite an emotional happening for Kardashian, who recently published her book, Selfish.

She spoke openly to her fans about her struggles with fertility and on camera, in the reality television series in which she stars, Keeping up with the Kardashians, she exhibited many highs and lows on the topic.

However, Kim has no regrets about sharing her story. "There are definitely times when I walked out of the doctor's office hysterically crying," said Kim, who is glad the wait is over.
