Kim Kardashian Paper Magazine Photos Controversy: Star Appears Sans Clothes in New Shoot
Kim Kardashian recently released some controversial images for the cover of Paper Magazine's winter issue in their bid to "Break The Internet", ABC News reported.
Pictures of Kardashian's shoot with French photographer Jean-Paul Goude have appeared online, showing Kardashian in black gowns, with champagne glasses, showing her bare backside and a full frontal photo of her sans clothes.
"For our winter issue, we gave ourselves one assignment: Break The Internet," Paper Magazine stated on their website, "There is no other person that we can think of who is up to the task than one Kim Kardashian West. A pop culture fascination able to generate headlines just by leaving her house, Kim is what makes the web tick."
In the photos, Kardashian could be seen in Mikimoto earrings and necklace, black gown, black gloves champagne glasses, and in various stages of undress, according to Hollywood Reporter.
One cover that Kardashian shot with Goude was a recreation of the photographer's "Champagne Incident," where Kardashian used her backside to prop up a champagne glass. Other covers include Kardashian wearing only her jewelry and gloves and showing off her bare back and backside, and one cover showed her in full frontal nudity with champagne on the floor and no attempt to cover up.
Unlike the champagne shoot, the nude photos were a spontaneous decision, a source told E! News.
"Kim went into the shoot with just the one cover image in mind - the champagne pic, because Jean-Paul Goude wanted to recreate his pic he took 30 years ago," the source said, "But Jean-Paul and Kim hit it off and they asked everyone to leave and they both got creative."
In light of all of this, various celebrities have expressed their opinion on Kardashian's shoot.
Singer Lorde retweeted Kardashian's post and added in the word "mom."
Candace Cameron Bure had a different reaction and posted, "How much longer do I have to look at Kim Kardashian's butt on my twitter feed? Ugh"
Alyssa Milano tweeted, "I mean...it really is an unbelievable a**."
Paper Magazine has published the interview online on Wednesday on their official website.
