Kim Kardashian Elle Magazine January 2015 Interview: On Cover Photo, Talks Self-Confidence
The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star Kim Kardashian recently opened up about the challenges of gaining confidence in her body especially since it "expanded" after being pregnant with her daughter North West. Regardless, the reality star made headlines recently as she's set to grace the cover of Elle magazine in the U.K.
In her interview with Elle magazine, the mother of one and wife of rapper Kanye West revealed that she thought God may have made her gain so much weight during her pregnancy for a reason.
"I (would) think God was doing this for a reason," Kardashian told the magazine for its January 2015 cover story, "He was saying: 'Kim, you think you're so hot, but look what I can do to you,'" she added.
The 34-year-old personality also revealed that sometimes in the middle of her pregnancy, she felt that her weight gain made her not want to be pregnant again. "My body just went crazy," Kardashian said and added, "After five months I swore I'd never get pregnant again. I got so huge and it felt like someone had taken over my body."
The blooming reality star now shares how she shifted from being under the criticism of the public to being confident in her own skin. "I grew up when the body to have was the tall, slim, supermodel one, like Cindy Crawford's. No one looked like me," Kardashian shared, "It's good to break the mold and recreate one," she added.
Now, Kardashian who has been continuously posting photos of herself online shares how her confidence built up. "I'm an Armenian girl, I have a shape, and it turned out people liked that," she continued, "I am a confident woman, but I didn't just arrive confident - it has built over the years and that is a big part of who I am now," Kardashian said.
Finally, Kardashian also recalled that her father, Robert Kardashian Sr. helped her with her self-confidence. "He told me I had a body not many girls have, that later it would lead to attention from men," she said, "But that the most important thing was that I was a wonderful girl and I had to understand my self-worth," she added.
