'Killer Instinct' Season 3 Release Date, News: New Single Player Option; Four New Characters Arriving and More to Follow

There will be a lot of new characters that will be added to the fighting video game reboot, "Killer Instinct." It was also said that the game will be adding a single player mode.

According to Game Spot, the game's third season will be adding four new characters which can be played on Xbox One and PC. And after the addition, the character roster will just keep getting longer and longer. Also, the single player mode, called "Shadow Lords" is described as a mixture of arcade mode, ladder, and story mode.

According to the game's official website, Gargos will be trying to take over the world and the gamer's task is to pick the main character of their choice and build up its supporting team members to try to halt Gargos from he evil invasion plan.

Along the journey, there will be a lot of currency and rewards to earn. There will also some skills to learn and develop. KI Gold is said to be the game's in-game currency.

It was recently leaked that vampire-like Mira will come in April while Gargos will arrive some time in May. Now, it just leaked that Gears of War antagonist, "General Raam," will also be involved in Killer Instinct Season 3.

Killer Instinct is a series of fighting video games originally created by Rare. It was first published by Midway Games and Nintendo from 1994 to 1996, then by Microsoft Studios from 2013 up to the present day. The very first game was released on October 28, 1994.
