Kardashian and Odom have been separated for a year following Odom's alleged cheating scandal while they were married. While the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star has filed for divorce, sources close to Odom have said that he still hopes to win back his wife.

"Khloe's in complete and total control of the situation," the source told Hollywood Life, "She knows exactly what Lamar wants and where he stands. He wants her. Nobody else."

Kardashian, 30, has since moved on by dating rapper French Montana, but the source said that if she decides to get together with the rapper after the divorce is finalized, then than would be "the final straw."

"Lamar understands French may have been the moon to Khloe, but to Lamar, she's his star," the source claimed, "Lamar's not about to watch his star fall and he won't watch her fall for this man. But if she does, he will gladly give her freedom from him but he will never in life speak to her again. He's made up his mind. He's put all his energy, demons, hidden secrets and things that have plagued him in his early life, he's put that all out there for Khloe, and the world to see."

Odom, 35, is keeping his wife on hold though, and once the one-year-mark passes on the divorce papers without any action, it could result in an automatic dismissal.

A source told Radar, "Khloe has been told by her attorney, Laura Wasser, that she could file a motion to have the divorce granted, even though Lamar hasn't formally responded. Becoming legally divorced would allow Khloe to move on, while lawyers for the former couple hash out a financial settlement. However, Khloe has held off on taking that drastic step."

"She can never trust Lamar again, after being cheated on so many times, but she is becoming more and more despondent about her personal life," the source also explained, "Khloe can't go back to that dark place, but just seems paralyzed with fear to move forward."
