Kevin Max Surpasses 'Broken Temples' PledgeMusic Campaign Goal, 'Everything Else is Gravy!'
Former DC Talk and Audio Adrenaline vocalist Kevin Max announced the completion of his PledgeMusic campaign today on his Facebook.
Early in the day he posted that his Broken Temples project was 98% funded, and since then the hidden total has gone beyond what was needed.
"12 bucks away from goal!!!! everything else is gravy!!!" he had posted and then followed up with, "we are beyond GOAL!!!!!!!!!!"
The initial post that gave Max the last push explained two generous pledges came in last night. "98% with 11 days to go- a couple big pledges came in yesterday that almost took us to the gate-" he wrote. "I never thought I'd have so much fun on a crowd funding event. Thank you to all that have supported me through this."
He said the next order of business would be fulfilling the orders once the 11 days pass by. "I'm also putting together shows with my agent this week & we are excited about performing near you... A brand new website is in the works and dates will be up soon... First up, Chicago on the 14th of February- I will post that info later today."
Max recently revealed the track "That Was Then And This is Now," and posted an accompanying video that showed slides of him throughout his life growing up and his career. Listen to it here.
"We've uploaded a FULL SONG + video from Broken Temples: 'That Was Then And This Is Now'. See pics of me 'Then' & 'Now'...baby pics, middle school pics, & more. Feathered hair, big collars, & plaid!" he wrote on his Pledge Music campaign. "Thank you for all your support of Broken Temples so far. You are the best fans, friends, & family in the world. Broken Temples is almost here. Please tell all your friends, family & pets to consider pledging & help bring this labor of love to the world."
