Kelis, who is most known for her hit Milkshake, sailed onstage at the Afropunk Festival in Brooklyn, New York in a splendid pink see-through kaftan and displayed what seemed to be a baby bump.

Social media exploded with congratulations for the singer:

Despite this, Kelis, who has kept a low profile of late, has neither confirmed nor denied the pregnancy. It has been reported by The YBF, however, that she made a comment that she was expecting backstage after her 22^nd August performance in the sweltering heat:

"I need a fan ... I'm hot and pregnant"

According to E! News, Kelis is a few months along and "feeling great". A source close to the singer told the site: "She is really excited about her pregnancy. She has a great support system from her family and friends. She is in really amazing spirits."

If the rumors turn out to be true, this will be her second child. She has a son, Knight Jones, with Nas, her now ex-husband. The couple separated in 2010 after being married for five years.

While there's been no comment directly from Kelis or her representative, the father is speculated to be the mystery man Kelis has been seen with since the previous summer.

Kelis recently turned 36 and has been keeping busy. She released Food, her most recent album, last year. A certified chef, she has posted many pictures of delicious food on her Instagram and even penned a cookbook called My Life On A Plate, which will be on bookshelves in September.
