'Fireworks' singer Katy Perry is apparently still being asked about her ex-husband and actor Russell Brand which she responded to and finally concluded that they are still not communicating.

Indeed it has been three years since the two separated but apparently some are still interested about their past love which she recently responded to stating that they are still not talking and their last conversation was through texting.

In her recent interview with the Daily Telegraph, Perry was again asked about her relationship with Brand which she responded saying, "He hasn't spoken to me since he texted me saying he was filing for divorce," Perry told the publication adding, "I don't want to talk about him-my songs will say what I need to say."

Perry made it clear that she is not into talking about her past love anymore and that the fans or anyone who wants to know about her relationship with the actor can just browse through her songs and know that those songs speak of what happened between them.

Of course artists have their own way to speak out their emotions and Perry's songs are her way. But of course Perry did speak about her relationship with Brand in the past. Like in her interview with Vogue where she revealed that it didn't work out between her and her ex.

"For a modern woman, it's important to be supported and that there is equality in every aspect," Perry told Vogue. "And it's no two halves that make a whole. It's two wholes that make a whole," she added.

The singer also revealed how she is still open for new romance as it is one way for her own self to evolve. "No, absolutely not," when asked if she worries about finding the right kind of love in the future. "I'm excited by whatever it brings. I'm excited by my own evolution," she added.
