In January, TLC will air a new 'Kate Plus 8' special episode featuring everyone's favorite mom, Kate Gosselin and her eight children.

For those who may not know, Kate became famous through her first, reality television show, 'Jon and Kate Plus 8'. This show followed her family and watched as Jon and Kate raised sextuplets and twins.

However, some say that the show is what led to Jon and Kate's divorce. They were always in the public eye and that can cause a lot of stress on a family.

On that note, the reality TV couple were officially divorced in 2009.

This special episode will focus on Kate trying to not become overwhelmed with being a single mom of eight children. The oldest twins, Mady and Cara are about to celebrate their fourteenth birthday and they have some high demands of their mother.

First off, they are ready to have their own bedrooms. This gets very overwhelming for Kate as she tries to make it into a big family project on the show. On this special segment, we will also see the family take a vacation which showcases how much fun they can have together.

On the other hand, Jon told press that he hasn't really seen any of Kate's shows since he has been working so much. He is trying to get his life back on track and he said that the two of them have been very cordial lately with the holidays coming up.

He hopes that one day he and Kate will be on good enough terms to be co-parents to the children. He is excited to see the kids for Christmas and hopes that everything will go smoothly during the holiday season for his family.
