Kanye West News: Rapper Sued by Paparazzo for Alleged Airport Attack

Some celebrities just wish to go their own way and do their errands without any disruptions, that is however impossible for the hit rapper Kanye West whose patience was tested last July 21 where he allegedly attacked a photographer outside LAX.

The photographer sustained minor injuries and reportedly filed his complaint against West. It was Plaintiff Daniel Ramos who opted to seek legal help from his attorney Gloria Allred who reported that the two parties have just reached settlement and their case are not moving forward to the scheduled trial on April 14, 2015.

Although the details of the settlement have not been revealed, a statement from one of the legal documents of the settlement however stated that the settlement included West's apology to the Plaintiff. "We cannot discuss the details of the settlement, except to say that one important aspect of it was an apology by Kanye West to our client, Daniel Ramos," the statement read.

The case which is now dismissed started when Ramos reportedly approached the singer, West, asking if he and the other photographers surrounding him could converse with him. Obviously West not being pleased reacted "without warning or provocation," the suit stated adding that he "suddenly attacked, punching [the plaintiff] and attempting to wrestle the camera from" the Plaintiff's hands.

Ramos was said to have successfully retrieved his camera but was on the ground as he fell on his knees. According to the filed suit, "with enough force that he sustained injuries to his right hip, as well as accompanying pain and emotional distress."

Afterwards, as Ramos' party wanted to file felony charges against West, the DA however dismissed their case since there was no "significant injury" according to the report and so the case was forwarded to the L.A. District Attorney's Office for a misdemeanor prosecution.

During that time Ramos with his lawyer Allred announced their side in a press conference. "I was just trying to do my job," Ramos said adding, "I am speaking out today because I don't want what happened to me to ever happen to anyone else."

Meanwhile, Allred stated, "Photographers should not be forced to suffer physical attacks simply because they speak to a celebrity." She added, "Celebrities are not above the law and they have no right or special license to hurt others."
