Kanye West News: Rapper Announces Plans for Video Game Based on 'Only One' Song

After the musician's domination of the music and fashion scene, one could ask themselves what is next for Kanye West?

In a recent interview with Power 105.1's Breakfast Club, the rap artist briefly mentioned his interest in making a video game based off one of his newest songs, "Only One."

The song was a dedication to his late mother that passed in 2007. West has also released a music video for the single directed by Spike Jonze and featuring footage of him and his daughter, North.

"Right now I'm working on a video game for Only One, and the idea is that it's my mother going through the gates of heaven and you have to bring her to the highest gates of heaven by holding her to the light," West states. "We've been working on it for like six months."

Fairly righteous efforts, but it appears to be in really early development as West hasn't announced a platform or even a release date for the project.

"West didn't say which platforms the game is for or who's developing it with him. If it comes to mobile, he's going to face some stiff competition from his wife Kim Kardashian, whose successful Kim Kardashian: Hollywood mobile game was estimated to generate as much as $200 million last year through in-app purchases," writes Gamespot.

The game sounds as if it would be released on a mobile platform, but fans will have to wait to see if this project actually comes to fruition.

The rapper has announced various projects in the interview, including a joint album with fellow artist Drake titled "Wolves."
