Kanye West New Album News: Rapper Announces Name of Upcoming Album - 'So Help Me God'

Rap artist Kanye West has finally opened the lid on his next music project, following his most recent 'Yeezus' album, he's titled the next one, 'So Help Me God'.

West made the huge reveal in a tweet with a symbol, with what many believe to be the album cover attached. The symbol was later identified to be a 13th century monastic symbol for the Virgin Mary.

With much of his promotion taken place in Europe, West has debuted his new song 'All Day' at the 2015 Brit Awards, along with recently releasing his single with Paul McCartney, 'Only One'.

According to Rolling Stone, West chatted with BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe about his new album. "It's fun to work hard. We're being inventive," West said, "The College Dropout came out of a fight to rap. This new album is coming out of a fight to design."

"The rapper also compared his latest music to the hymn 'Amazing Grace' because of its focus on 'the beauty of the struggle'; the album's title plays into that theme as well'," writes Rolling Stone.

As with many popular hip hop album releases, Kanye's 'So Help Me God' will have no release date and arrive unexpectedly. The rapper refers to them as "100 percent played out," and not the trend anymore.

My last album was a protest of music," West stated on Power 105, "I was like, 'I'm gonna take my ball and go home'... I didn't even have no music. I just let y'all have a little music on 'Bound,' but that was it. But this album is just embracing the music, embracing joy and just being a service to the people."
