K-LOVE Fan Awards 2014 Red Carpet: Plumb Announces Upcoming Worship Album and Shares Powerful Marriage Testimony (VIDEO INTERVIEW)

Longtime Christian artist Plumb chatted with BreatheCast on the Red Carpet of the K-LOVE Fan Awards 2014 this weekend, and revealed a new worship album is in the works, along with a tour filled busy Fall.

Plumb was nominated for "Female Artist of the Year" along with Britt Nicole, Francesca Battistelli, Jamie Grace, Natalie Grant, and Mandisa, who would later win the award.

"You know what? I am super uncomfortable with accolades because I feel like a thousand trillion people can do better than what I do. I'm always a little uncomfortable with that. I'm so humbled by it," she said. "I'm nominated with all women that I am friends with and so every one of them deserves it. Whoever gets it I'm going to be elated for because I genuinely love them and I love the work that they're doing and the art that they're making and the message that they're sending. So just to be nominated among people you respect is just, I've already won."

Plumb's latest single "Need You Now" off of the album of the same name, is currently on fire over the last month, especially with the release of its music video.

"I have a large amount of things going on. I just finished work on a deluxe version of this record, so we added seven new tracks. It releases this fall. I'm headlining a tour and that's going to release on the headlining tour; Rhett Walker Band is opening," she explained.

She then shared the amazing testimony of her marriage, and how she is using that story to reach out to other's lives.

"At the same time as the tour and deluxe record is a book that I wrote called 'Need You Now: The Story of Hope.' My husband and I split up two and a half years ago, we were getting a divorce, God completely restored our marriage and I tell that story. I believe everyone needs to hear it," she shared.

Plumb then revealed what her next project would be, and why she was inspired to work on it.

"My cup sort of overflows, and so instead of writing for another rock record I'm actually going to write a worship record only because that's where my heart is right now. I'm just very thankful and don't feel like writing anything else would be as authentic," she admitted.
