Popular Christian singer Natalie Grant met up with BreatheCast on the Red Carpet at the K-LOVE Fan Awards 2014 where she chatted about her busy schedule, being nominated for "Female Artist of the Year," and changing the culture with her music.

When BreathCast first caught up with Grant, she explained she was feeling the effects of jet-lag.

"Well, I just landed from England. We did shows over there, which was incredible but I'm on a totally different time-zone so far. I'm performing tonight but I'm afraid I'm going to fall asleep half way through," she joked.

"It's an exciting event tonight, incredible," she said of the whole event.

Not only was Grant performing on Sunday, but she was nominated for "Female Artist of the Year" along with Plumb, Britt Nicole, Francesca Battistelli, Jamie Grace, and Mandisa, who later won the award.

Grant was just happy to be at the K-LOVE Awards and shared about how much of a fan she is of Christian radio in general.

"I just love K-LOVE, I mean I've always loved Christian radio. I grew up on Christian radio, I'm a fan, but now that I'm a mom, I've become one of those, 'Thank you Christian radio because my daughters can listen to you!'

BreatheCast then asked Grant how she would like her music to change the culture of people and art.

"I have always said that I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. For it is the power of salvation unto all who believe. I have had my whole life set on being a truth teller, so my hope is that my music would continue to do that - tell the truth about who Jesus is, love people, love God, love people, but never shy away from the gospel," she said before moving on down the line at the Red Carpet.

Natalie Grant's latest album, Hurricane, was released on October 15, and debuted at No. 1 on the Christian Billboard Charts. She is also currently the host of Christian dating show, "It Takes a Church."
