Justin Bieber Tattoos: Despite Recent Troubles in the Spotlight, the Singer's Body is Adorned with Declarations of Faith and Images of Jesus (PICTURES)
Pop star Justin Bieber may have strayed from the straight and narrow in the public's eye, but he never has to look too far to find Jesus. The young singer apparently has pictures and symbols of the savior tattooed all over his body.
The Canadian star began his tattoo art early. Bieber's first tattoo referencing Jesus came from a trip he took to Israel in 2011 with his dad, Jeremy Bieber. The two got matching tattoos that read "Yeshua," a Hebrew word for "Jesus."
Biebers mother Pattie Mallette has publicly said that Bieber became a Christian at an early age and was baptized at around 8 or 9 years old. A year after his Yeshua tattoo Bieber got another tattoo this time a Classic image of Jesus on his left leg. He reportedly got it while on vacation with Selena Gomez in Cabo, San Lucas Mexico.
Bieber has been vocal about his faith. One can safely assume that if he wins an award he likely to mention Jesus. After winning an award at a MTV Video Music event, Bieber once said, "I just want to say thank you so much, not only to God but to Jesus . . . Because I wouldn't be here without Him. He's really blessed me. He's put me in this position. So I want to say thank you so much."
In 2012 the pop crooner showcased another inked illustration and this time it was of praying hands. Later in the year he decided to add three gigantic roses and some deep shading to it.
Every year the singer gets new work on his body symbolizing Jesus. He accredits God to the reason he is here. In a Teen Vogue interview when questioned on God's role in his life, Bieber answered: "I think that's part of the reason I'm here . . . Not just because I'm talented, but because God had a purpose for me to just help people."
In 2013 he received a large Greek symbol for Christ on his left forearm. The Greek tattoo features a simple "X" and was believed to have been down in London.
He also has some Bible inspired artwork that comes from the inspiring Psalm 119:105 verse, which reads "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. "³
Bieber has been getting himself into a lot of trouble lately and perhaps he is trying to get himself back on track. He was reportedly rummaging New York City over Super Bowl weekend to find a private pool where he could be Re-baptized through Hillsong NYC church.
His latest tat is of a Cross located right in the center of his chest. He showcased it this week on a recent Instagram post. (View Image at the top)
Although Bieber's ink signifies that he acknowledges God, the singer is aware that it is only believing in his heart with faith that give him true salvation in Jesus Christ.
In a former interview with Associated Press he affirmed, "I'm a Christian, I believe in God, I believe that Jesus died on a cross for my sins. I believe that I have a relationship and I'm able to talk to him and really, he's the reason I'm here, so I definitely have to remember that. As soon as I start forgetting, I've got to click back and be like, you know, this is why I'm here."
