In a recent interview, Justin Bieber has put speculations that he and Selena Gomez are a couple again to rest. In fact, he wanted to make it clear that he is a single man. Although, he and Gomez were seen hanging out together, the singer denied being romantically involved with anyone currently.

This is definitely good news for Beliebers. Bieber was featured in the August 2015 issue of Interview magazine, in which he was asked about his relationship status.

He replied saying that there is no one attached to him at the moment. "No girlfriend at the moment," said Bieber to Martha Stewart who conducted the interview. "No. I'm single."

Although Bieber is clearly trying to project the image of himself as free, single, and disengaged, it is worth noting that this interview was likely conducted way before he was seen reuniting with Gomez in Beverly Hills on Saturday, July 11.

During the interview, Stewart points out that Bieber recently, or in her words, "just" attended the Met Ball, which took place in early May of 2015.

If Gomez and Bieber only reunited a few weeks ago, there is the chance that the quote about him being single is a little outdated. Friends of Gomez have been very vocal about their disapproval of the couple's on again off again relationship.

In fact, Gomez' song, "The Heart Wants What It Wants" was inspired by the nasty and seemingly final break up that the two pop singers were involved in.

Fans are wondering now whether the two will get back together for good.
