Justin Bieber News: Hailey Baldwin Engagement Rumors Cause Social Media Traffic Spike
It has just been confirmed that one of the most trending topics this week which claimed that Justin Bieber and rumored girlfriend Hailey Baldwin are engaged is false. It has been confirmed by several news reports, including TMZ, that they did not create a fictitious photo of Baldwin's hand with an engagement ring writing "Thanks Justin" to mislead the fans into thinking that the two are engaged.
They are not engaged. Apparently, a fan or a group of people edited an existing photo making it seem like it was a post of Baldwin thanking Bieber for the engagement ring. The photos and all the other hilarious memes created were under the hashtag #CongratsJustinAndHailey.
The hashtag was an instant hit with thousands of Beliebers posting their memes mentioning how unbelievable it was to find out that all of a sudden their all-time crush, Bieber got engaged to Baldwin.
Meanwhile, the original photo that was edited by an unknown person was found and was seen to be a jewel from a mother to a daughter as the words read "Thanks Mom" which was exactly replicated except that the words were changed to "Thanks Justin."
Several fans were confused as to who really did post the image. Some even accused the media outlet, TMZ for posting the fictitious image claiming Bieber and Baldwin's engagement. One Twitter user wrote, "Nice try @TMZ I'm so proud of you. #CongratsJustinAndHailey," after being misinformed that TMZ posted the photos.
Another user wrote, "THIS IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE WHY NO ONE SHOULD BELIEVE ANYTHING TMZ SAYS #CongratsJustinAndHailey." But apparently, it has just been confirmed that TMZ had nothing to do with the false news and it was just a few fans that created the media traffic.
So it is settled, Bieber and Baldwin are not engaged. One Twitter user even posted a hilarious message saying that the fans are just not busy with anything to create the false rumors. "This is what happens when beliebers have no new hair selfie and no new music #CongratsJustinAndHailey," one user wrote after finding out the false news.
