'Justice League: Part 1' Trailer, Release Date: New Trailer Unveils Film's Airy And Light Tone
Warner Bros. unveiled the first official trailer for Zack Snyder's "Justice League," which is set to hit the big screen November next year.
The upcoming film brings together the most popular heroes of the DC Comics, Ben Affleck's Batman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller's The Flash, Henry Cavill's Superman, Ray Fisher's Cyborg and Jason Momoa's Aquaman.
The three-minute trailer reveals that the upcoming film has a much lighter tone than "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which was released early this year and came under fire for its too heavy and dark tone. It also shows the new looks of Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fischer as the members of the Justice League.
Generally, the trailer looks fantastic. It opens with Bruce Wayne hunting down Aquaman as he tries to put together the team of warriors. From that scene, all the big names in the film get their own shining moments, including Cyborg, Wonder Woman, and The Flash. Flash is also notable for giving the element of youth to the film.
One of the scenes in the footage shows Bruce Wayne turning to Aquaman and telling him, "I hear you can talk to fish?" Apparently, the film seems to take its cue from "Suicide Squad," which has an airy and light tone, and with each moment played more for laughs than inevitable doom.
The film is still currently shooting. Its official soundtrack is The White Stripes' "Icky Thump."
The Justice League unites on November 17, 2017.
