'Justice League' News, Update: Ben Affleck Shares Cryptic Test Footage Of Deathstroke

Actor-director Ben Affleck posted on Monday morning a cryptic video which seemed to be test footage of the popular DC Universe villain Deathstroke on all of his social media accounts. However, he did not write any comment or explanation to give further details on the video.

While it remains unclear what the video meant and whether the popular villain will appear in the upcoming "Justice League" films or the "Batman" standalone film, it is highly likely that Deathstroke will appear in the former since the superhero mashup is currently filming in London.

In DC comics, Deathstroke, also known as Slade Wilson, is a soldier who has turned into an assassin in the DC Universe. Through an experimental super-soldier project, he was able to possess superhuman strength and intelligence, as well as the unparalleled ability to regenerate. He has already clashed with Green Arrow and the Teen Titans, aside from Batman and the Justice League. Created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, he first appeared in "The New Titans # 2" in 1980.

Ben Afflect is set to appear and executive produce the "Justice League" film before he directs and co-writes the "Batman" standalone film. While he has not confirmed anything about Deathstroke in the upcoming film, rumors have been swirling around that Joe Manganiello of "Magic Mike XXL" was already asked to take up the role.

Directed by Zack Snyder, "Justice League" is set to hit theaters on November 10, 2017 and will see the return of Affleck as Batman.
