'Justice League Dark' Movie Rumors: Unofficial Lineup Features John Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman, Jason Blood
Even as fans have been waiting for the release of the highly-anticipated film 'Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice,' DC Universe has released the new lineup of movies from its stable. However, director Guillermo del Toro's 'Justice League Dark' film titled 'Dark Universe' does not find a place on the list of upcoming movies.
Christian Today reports that although the film is not mentioned in DC Universe's official list of upcoming movies, del Toro has claimed that it is virtually included. As the script of the movie is already with Warner Bros., it appears that del Toro is correct. In addition to this, the characters of the upcoming movie have also been named, albeit unofficially.
In fact, the characters of the purported film are quite familiar and include John Constantine, Zatana, Deadman, and Jason Blood. While fans cannot compare this team to the celebrated 'Justice League,' fans should certainly watch out for the characters of this 'Dark Universe' movie.
Citing the example of 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' which turned out to be a blockbuster despite the fact that Marvel comic readers actually knew about them, the report says that the same could be true in the case of the 'Justice League Dark' film.
While names of four characters have been announced unofficially, some names are missing too and these include Madame Xanadu, Frankenstein, Shade and Changing Man. Apart from Constantine, Zatana and the Deadman, perhaps the other characters are yet to feature in any film or animated series. Therefore, it will be interesting to watch how the producers bring these characters to life on the big screen.
However, these names are essentially unofficial and that neither Warner nor DCU has made any official announcement in this regard.
