'Justice League Dark' Movie News: Director Guillermo Del Toro Talks Upcoming DC Comics Characters in Film

With DC's long list that they have been establishing their cinematic world, there's been a lot of speculation on how the studio plans to coin the lesser known "Justice League Dark" film.

The movie was confirmed to happen and be headed by no other than Guillermo Del Toro. We may not have any information on how the director plans on constructing the movie, but a useful tip on who we can expect has been revealed.

The character lineup Del Toro may be using has apparently been leaked by Latino Review reporters.

"This new nugget of information comes courtesy of one of Latino-Review's reporters, saying that John Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman and Jason Blood a.k.a. Etrigan The Demon will be the main characters in Guillermo del Toro's Justice League Dark movie. With the exception of Jason Blood, del Toro has name dropped all the other heroes before, even previously going as far as to say that he would be happy to consider having his movie feature Matt Ryan's version of Constantine from the NBC series. It's worth noting that the director has also previously mentioned Swamp Thing as a potential inclusion - though he isn't mentioned in this new rumor," writes Cinema Blend.

All of these characters play a significant role in the comic book world, but who will be making the cut on the big screen was a huge question. Whoever the studio decides to adapt will have to correspond with the "Man of Steel" DC Universe they've already started.

Justice League Dark's premise mostly focus on the occult and paranormal side of the DC world.

The NBC show "Constantine" has already given fans a taste of this, as the main character is an occult detective who uses his dark arts to best the powers of evil.

Fans will see a lot of first time live action adaptations such as Zatanna, a practicing stage magician, and one of the most powerful spellcasters in the DC world.

"Justice League Dark" currently has no release date so we'll all hear more as time goes on.
