'Jurassic World' Movie News and Rumors: New Installment in Spielberg Series Promises Action Packed Scenes

Universal Studios released its official trailer for 'Jurassic World' on November 26, and despite the quality of the other sequels to the Steven Spielberg classic film 'Jurassic Park', this one actually looks pretty cool.

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, who co-wrote the script with Derek Connolly, the film has been in "development hell" since the third 'Jurassic Park' movie, that premiered over a decade ago.

Even in this attempt, a disagreement between the writers and Universal Studios over the script ensued, and halted production for some time. In fact, the film was originally supposed to be released in the Summer of 2014.

Starring Chris Pratt, 'Jurassic World' takes place one year after the events of the first movie, on the same island that housed the original park, but John Hammond's vision is fully realized. 'Jurassic World' is a bustling theme park with shows, shopping, and rides for the kids.

However, there's a gigantic lab-created hybrid dinosaur that of course escapes and ruins everyone's vacation.

The film will again center around the fan favorites, the velociraptors, with Pratt playing an animal behaviorist studying the terrifying carnivores. The trailer hints that in these investigations, geneticists at the park develop a super intelligent velociraptor, because what could possibly go wrong there?

The special effects look to be just as awe inspiring, and terrifying as the original film, but with all the added developments in technology, the VFX will be the reason to see this film.

The movie premieres June 12, 2015, and is sure to inspire a whole new generation of people who fall in love with the fantasy of dinosaurs coming to life.
