Josh Duggar Scandal News: Michael Seewald, Jessa Duggar's Father-in-Law, Reacts to Molestation Allegations
After the news that came out regarding the '19 Kids and Counting' star Josh Duggar's molestation allegations back in 2006, several were apparently commenting and the news has flooded the social media recently and Michael Seewald, the father-in-law of Josh's cousin, Jessa Duggar wife of Michael's son, Ben Seewald recently released a message in support of Josh who's obviously currently struggling.
When news suddenly surfaced regarding a previous police report claiming that Josh molested five underaged girls back when he was a young teenager, Josh was quick to respond to the rumors saying "Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret," Josh said in a statement adding, "I hurt others, including my family and close friends."
Afterwards, Michael Seewald wanted to give some support to Josh releasing a statement in his family's blog saying how Josh isn't any different from every sinner that was redeemed by Jesus Christ. "I want to say to Josh, hang in there, the shame you feel is legitimate, yet Jesus took your shame as he was punished in your place," he said reassuring Josh adding, "Rest in his forgiveness and grace. Remember that he gives you his righteousness as a covering for your shame."
Although there were no charges against him, Josh's career is currently down and has just resigned from his job at the Family Research Council, a Christian lobbying group based in Washington D.C., as well as cancelling a speaking engagement at a Christian home-school convention in Sandusky, Ohio.
Meanwhile, Michael continues on and encourages Josh from being down about everyone who is currently talking about his sin as Josh is now of course past his previous wrong doings. "Don't be angry at the world for their hatred of you," Michael wrote adding, "Show them through your love for them that it is Jesus Christ that made all the difference in your life. I'm rooting for you."
