Josh Duggar Molestation Scandal Update: Jessa Duggar Defends Her Brother
On May 20th, the news that Josh Duggar, age 27, molested five underage girls when he was teen broke out.
It was known that some of his victims included his siblings, but it was revealed on the June 3rd interview with some of the members of the Duggar family on The Kelly File that the sisters who were his victims were Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar, two of the fan favorites on the family's show, 19 Kids and Counting.
Jessa and Jill also took part in the interview and revealed their true feelings about their brother's actions.
During host Megyn Kelly's sitdown with the sisters, Jessa confessed that she was one of her brother's victims.
However, when Kelly asked the sisters whether they felt like victims, their response was quite shocking.
Jessa, 22 years old, does not deny that what Josh did to her and Jill was very wrong, but she defended her brother as well.
"I do want to speak up in his defense against people who are calling him a child molester or a pedophile or a rapist, some people are saying," said Jessa. "I'm like that is so overboard and a lie, really. I mean people get mad at me for saying that but I can say this because I was one of the victims."
Jessa and Jill seem to be very forgiving toward their brother, but he has still issued several apologies since the controversy began.
He and his wife, Anna Duggar, released a statement on May 21st, saying how sorry Josh was for what had happened.
