Josh Duggar Molestation Case News: Duggar Family Says They Had 'Moved On' from Scandal

When an uncovered felony investigation from 2006 revealed the shocking truth that Josh Duggar had molested five underage girls as a teen, the Duggar family felt that they had left behind the scandal, which immediately made headlines across the country.

According to the victims, Josh's sisters, Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald, this incident took place when they were 12 and "9 or 10," respectively.

The sisters appeared on The Kelly File Friday for a sit down interview on the subject.

When Megyn Kelly, the host of the interview, asked whether or not the family had felt any wariness in terms of entering into a reality show considering their past and their secrets, 22 year old Jessa stated that the family had already moved on from the incident by the time the family's show, 19 Kids and Counting, which was 17 Kids and Counting at the time, began in 2008.

Jessa went on to add that what took place was not hidden or a secret, but that close family friends that helped them through the time all knew about it and that they worked through it at the time.

"I think all the people in our lives, like our close friends and the people -- the officials -- that helped us, walked alongside the family during this time and walked us through some of our hardest days, they knew about this," said Jessa.

"It wasn't like a complete secret. ... People knew. They had walked us through this journey and we felt it was a done deal." The family has stated that they are more concerned about the release of their private information," Jessa was found saying.
