Hollywood actor Johnny Depp can sure open up to fans recently, as the star of the upcoming flick 'Black Mass' attended the Toronto International Film Festival and spoke about it, and some of his personal experiences with bullies.

The actor, who will be playing the character of James "Whitey" Bulger remembered some of the teachings that he learned from his parents during the press conference of his film. Since in the film, his character was heard saying, "It's not what you do, it's when and where you do it." And that the actor revealed that he completely agrees with the statement saying that the quote wasn't "at all strange."

Afterwards he opened up some of the intimate details of his childhood life specifically when encountering bullies. "I remember when I was a kid and I was little, like maybe 6 years old or something like that, there was a little horror at the school who was needling me or whatever, and I think I told my mom or something," he told the press.

"I come from nothing but hillbillies, and my mom said to me, 'Alright, here's the deal, next time anybody puts their hands on you, pick up a brick and lay them out,'" he added.

The actor and proud father even goes on to say that he will continue the teaching even in the lives of his children Lily Rose and Jack saying that he has "taken that advice ever since" because "it worked for me." and that "If somebody tried to bully my kid, if they didn't destroy the little booger, I would."

So for sure after those words, no one would dare mess with him or his children. Meanwhile as his film 'Black Mass' comes to theaters soon, Depp reveals that he is just not that concerned about if it will be a blockbuster but is just focusing on his work.

"As long as you've arrived at that place where you believe is the right place you need to be for the character. If you feel that you've done service to the director, to yourself, to the author, then to me that's a success. Box office is something else and it's certainly not my business," he said.
