John Stamos News: 'Fuller House' Actor Breaks His Silence After DUI Arrest
After being arrested for driving under the influence on Friday, and being hospitalized shortly after, John Stamos has stated that he is doing well.
Stamos sent the message out to fans and well wishers via his Twitter account on Saturday. "Thanks to everyone for their love & support," wrote Stamos. "I'm home & well."
Stamos, who is 51 years old, was pulled over by officers from Beverly Hills Police Department at 7:45 pm, after the department received several calls about a vehicle driving erratically.
The police department confirmed this information in a statement made to People magazine.
After pulling Stamos over and apprehending him, the police determined that he would need full medical attention due to a medical condition.
Stamos, known best for his role in Full House was then taken to Cedars- Sinai Medical Center.
He received a citation for driving under the influence, and then was released to the care of the medical center.
Stamos continued his tweet, issuing a special vote of thanks to the police officers and the medical center workers. "Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care," finished Stamos.
Stamos has a busy time coming up in terms of his career. He is starring in an upcoming sitcom from Fox, called Grandfathered, and has also been producing and promoting a Full House spinoff.
The series, which will be entitled Fuller House, will premiere on Netflix next year, and will feature several of the cast members from the original show.
So far, it has been revealed that the show will focus on the lives of DJ, Kimmy and Stephanie.
